München/Samstagern, 30. Oktober 2026 – XPENG continues to expand its model range: the new XPENG L05 (the vehicle is not yet on sale, and the final consumption and emissions figures will be announced at a later date) made its official debut in China. The spacious family SUV combines state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) with plenty of space and high everyday practicality – and is set to complement the Chinese high-tech brand’s offering in Europe in the future. XPENG will announce all details on the market launch in Switzerland at the Brussels Motor Show, which takes place from 8 to 17 January 2027.
The XPENG L05 incorporates XPENG’s latest developments in the field of physical AI – that is, artificial intelligence – which perceives its surroundings and applies them in the real world. At its core is XPENG’s self-developed AI chip, “Turing”. Together with the in-house VLA 2.0 operating system, which links camera images, language understanding and driving decisions, the Turing chip forms the basis for the XPENG L05 to capture its surroundings in real time, classify traffic situations and respond accordingly. In this way, the family SUV contributes to a safer, more relaxed and more intuitive driving experience.
In the model range, the XPENG L05 is positioned above the SUV coupé XPENG L03 (combined energy consumption 15.3 - 18.4 kWh/100 km; combined CO₂ emissions 0 g/km; energy efficiency category: B/C, combined values according to WLTP, subject to final homologation). The five-seater is aimed at families that value generous space, high comfort and plenty of flexibility. True to the guiding principle “Space for Life”, the SUV adapts to a wide variety of everyday situations – whether on the daily school run, while shopping or on a weekend trip.
