Munich/Samstagern, 22 October 2026 – XPENG remains at the top: The Chinese high-tech automotive brand has the most satisfied EV drivers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Its successful title defense in the annual satisfaction ranking by Stuttgart-based consulting and market analysis company USCALE confirms the high quality of XPENG's smart electric vehicles in terms of charging speed, range and product features.
«EV drivers are as satisfied as ever. But they are also becoming more demanding. What was exciting yesterday is standard today. Manufacturers have done their homework when it comes to range and charging. Now the competition is decided by software, connectivity and a seamless charging experience. Those who do not deliver here fall behind, and that is clearly reflected in the ranking», explains Dr. Axel Sprenger, founder and managing director of USCALE GmbH.
With a recommendation rate of 82 percent, XPENG is not only well above the industry average of 53 percent. Compared with the previous year, the Chinese brand improved by another percentage point – and once again ranks ahead of all US, European and Asian manufacturers. Notably, while all other of the 23 automotive brands listed have a greater or lesser share of critics, XPENG has none. In almost all categories, the Chinese high-tech brand ranks above average. Customers are particularly impressed by charging performance, charging management and range; the Connect app has therefore improved significantly compared with the previous year.
«Two surveys, top again for the second time: We are pleased that XPENG has not only defended its position in the USCALE satisfaction ranking, but was even able to further improve its recommendation rate», explains Markus Schrick, Managing Director of XPENG's Central Europe sales region. «XPENG does not want to be just one of many Chinese automotive brands; we want to offer customers unique experiences and impressions and thus anchor XPENG positively in their minds. Our goal is for our customers to feel at home in their XPENG. Supported by our in-house AI ecosystem, our models impress with smart technology and an advanced electric drivetrain with high ranges and ultra-short charging times – on average from 20 to 80 percent in just under ten minutes. Added to this are sporty-elegant design, extensive comfort and safety features, and high-quality workmanship as standard.»
XPENG is continuously expanding its product range: Within one year, the original trio of models has become a sextet that addresses different needs and target groups – from the two SUV coupés L03 (combined energy consumption 15.3-18.4 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A, values subject to final WLTP homologation) and XPENG G6 (combined energy consumption according to WLTP: 17.5-18.4 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A) via the fastback saloon P7+ (combined energy consumption 15.2-17.4 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A) to the SUV flagships G9 (combined energy consumption 18.4-20.1 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A) and the G9L, which was just presented at the Paris Motor Show (combined energy consumption 21.1-22.5 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A, values subject to final WLTP homologation), as well as the luxury MPV XPENG X9 (combined energy consumption 20.0-20.8 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A). Another model is already in the starting blocks and will be unveiled shortly.
Sporty design, brand-typical extensive equipment and advanced driver assistance systems meet various battery and drivetrain variants. All models combine a powerful electric drivetrain with everyday ranges of up to 615 kilometres (WLTP combined for XPENG X9 FWD Long Range) and ultra-short charging times. Thanks to charging capacities of up to 542 kW (XPENG X9), the battery is charged in the shortest possible time.
For its annual ranking, the «EV Satisfaction Study», the Stuttgart-based consulting and market research company USCALE surveyed a total of 4,004 EV drivers in June and July 2026 in the so-called DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The respondents were recruited via social media, and are therefore not representative of the «average driver». They pay closer attention to the details of a vehicle concept, value well-thought-out solutions more highly and are less sparing with criticism than the average customer. For vehicle manufacturers, their verdict is therefore all the more relevant.
