Dielsdorf, September 3rd 2025– XPENG is launching its next generation of high-performance SUVs in Switzerland and opening its order books for the new XPENG G61 and the new XPENG G9 (combined energy consumption 18.4-20.1 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; energy efficiency category: C). Despite generous innovations, prices remain largely unchanged: the XPENG G6 SUV coupe starts at CHF 47,600 for the RWD Long Range, as before. The Standard Range with a smaller battery will be launched in Switzerland at a later date. The flagship XPENG G9 continues to start at CHF 59,600 for the RWD Standard Range.
Powerful electric drive and ultra-fast charging: these ingredients also characterize the two comprehensively redesigned models, which are based on the next generation of 800-volt architecture. Both the XPENG G6 and XPENG G9 now come standard across all trim levels with the industry's first 5C LFP high-voltage battery. The lithium iron phosphate battery does not require rare minerals such as cobalt, manganese, and nickel, ensuring greater sustainability without compromising performance. Thanks to the enormous charging capacity of up to 451 kW (XPENG G6) and 525 kW (XPENG G9), the batteries can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just twelve minutes.
As an alternative to rear-wheel drive, customers can still opt for a powerful all-wheel-drive variant, which improves traction and driving stability with a second electric motor.
In addition to the new technology, which once again underscores XPENG's pioneering role in smart and powerful electric vehicles, the two SUV models benefit from further improvements, including a refreshed exterior and interior design.
In the new, optional “Black Edition” for the XPENG G6 and XPENG G9, both models feature an “all-in-black” look: Midnight Black-painted alloy wheels in 20 (XPENG G6) and 21 inches (XPENG G9), black trim strips, and a black logo and lettering lend the vehicles additional elegance. The XPENG G6 also features an LED light strip called “Starlight Wing” that extends across the entire width of the vehicle to the side, and a new metallic paint finish called “Stellar Purple,” which perfectly highlights the coupe-shaped design with its color that changes depending on the incidence of light.
The XPENG G6 SUV coupe also features a comprehensively modernized interior, 60 percent of which has been redesigned, combining high-quality materials with elegant color accents in dark and light gray. A newly designed display is used in front of the driver. Powerful processors create a responsive and intuitive infotainment system and user experience, and smartphones can be integrated into the vehicle via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In the flagship XPENG G9 SUV, an ultra-large, heat-insulating panoramic glass roof creates a light-flooded interior while providing maximum heat insulation. The luxurious seats with optional ten-point massage function in all seats offer maximum comfort, making even longer journeys enjoyable.
Like all XPENG models, the two new editions also impress with comprehensive standard equipment that includes many amenities such as the advanced XPILOT assistance systems, an electric tailgate, a heat pump, and dual-zone automatic climate control with an air purification system. The short list of options includes metallic paint finishes and a trailer hitch.
