- With up to 451 kW DC fast charging: no other model in this class charges faster
- 800-volt architecture, first 5C LFP battery and newly designed interior
- New SUV coupé as Long Range with full equipment unchanged from 47,600 CHF
Munich, 17 July 2025 – Rapidly recharged: The new XPENG G6 (combined energy consumption according to WLTP: 17.5–18.4 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km; CO2 class: A) charges faster than any other model in its class. With up to 451 kW charging power, the extensively revised SUV coupé, which will hit the roads in Germany in the fourth quarter of this year, sets new benchmarks.
But that’s not all. For the 2025 model year, more than one third of all key components of the XPENG G6 have been redesigned: 81 modifications – mostly in the interior – improve the user experience. Driving is now more comfortable, intuitive, and immersive than ever before.
The configurator with a 360-degree interior view is already open, and the new XPENG G6 can be ordered via the homepage at xpeng-cars.ch. Despite the updates, prices remain unchanged: as Long Range, the XPENG G6 SUV coupé still starts at 47,600 CHF, and as AWD Performance at 51,600 CHF. Prices for the Standard Range with smaller high-voltage battery will be announced later.
The heart of the 4.76-metre-long SUV coupé is the brand’s signature 800-volt architecture, now combined with the industry’s first 5C LFP high-voltage battery. The new XPENG G6’s 80.8 kWh (gross) lithium iron phosphate battery replaces the previous NCM batteries. This change allows the Chinese high-tech carmaker to eliminate expensive and less sustainable materials such as cobalt, manganese, and nickel, without sacrificing performance.
The new XPENG G6 now achieves best-in-class charging performance, reaching up to 451 kW. This allows the battery to be charged at suitable charging stations from 20 to 80 percent in just nine minutes, or from ten to 80 percent in twelve minutes – both record values in this class, and beyond. Despite this peak performance, XPENG has extended the high-voltage battery’s lifespan by 30 percent. A 4-3-4 safety frame and ballistic protection shield the battery even under extreme conditions – such as 1,000 degrees Celsius heat and 80 tons of lateral pressure – so customers are always safe on the road.
Drive options remain a choice between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Currently available are:
- XPENG G6 RWD Long Range: with 218 kW/296 hp and up to 525 kilometres range (WLTP combined) at prices from 47,600 CHF (MSRP incl. 8.1% VAT)
- XPENG G6 AWD Performance: with 218 kW/296 hp at the rear and 140 kW/190 hp at the front, and up to 510 kilometres range (WLTP combined) at prices from 51,600 CHF (MSRP incl. 8.1% VAT)
Thanks to the standard V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function, external devices can also be powered with electricity.
The new XPENG G6 combines the robust elements of an SUV with the sporty elegance of a coupé. The sloping roofline towards the rear contributes not only to its striking design but also to excellent aerodynamics. The drag coefficient is an outstanding 0.248. The new “ducktail” rear spoiler also plays a role: it improves stability and road holding – and extends the vehicle by five millimetres.
Five paint finishes, including four optional metallic tones (surcharge 800 CHF), highlight the XPENG G6. The new colour “Stellar Purple” delivers a unique appearance: with fine metallic flakes, the matt paint creates a fascinating colour gradient that shifts from deep to light violet depending on the light.
In the new optional “Black Edition” (surcharge 1,000 CHF), offered exclusively for the top XPENG G6 Performance model with all-wheel drive, the name says it all: in addition to the Midnight Black paintwork, the front fender, bumper and trim, as well as the logo and lettering, are also finished in black. The black 20-inch wheels reveal black brake callipers.
Inside the new XPENG G6, which has been redesigned by 60 percent, the “Super Star-Ring” interior makes its debut: it combines high-quality materials with modern colour accents. Customers can choose between dark and light grey.
The tones harmonise perfectly with the newly designed microfibre steering wheel, which now features capacitive touch sensitivity, and the new elegant wood-look inlays on the dashboard. The interior is completed by a suede-look headliner, fresh materials on the A- and B-pillars, and newly designed speaker covers. Star-like ambient lighting, the floating centre console, and layered geometric trim elements create a cosy atmosphere and an interior architecture that invites comfort.
With a wheelbase of almost 2.89 metres, up to five occupants enjoy ample space. Despite the coupé-style roofline, rear passengers also benefit from plenty of headroom. The boot has a standard capacity of 571 litres and can be expanded to up to 1,374 litres by folding down the 60:40 split rear bench. Additional storage space is provided by a large compartment in the centre console, which can hold up to five bottles.
Maximum comfort on both short and long journeys is promised by the electrically adjustable comfort seats, now upholstered as standard in Nappa leather (Long Range/AWD Performance). In the Long Range and Performance versions, the front seats also come standard with heating and ventilation, lumbar support, and now a massage function. With up to twelve-way adjustment, the passenger seat can be placed into a fully reclining position including footrest. In the rear, where heated seats are also standard, the twelve-step adjustable recline delivers comfort like a home sofa.
For concert hall-level sound, the XOPERA Sound System 2.0 provides: with 18 high-end speakers, dynamic tuning, and crystal-clear audio, it guarantees an immersive acoustic experience.
As is typical of XPENG, every model comes with advanced technology. The smart cockpit combines a 15.6-inch touchscreen in Ultra HD resolution with a digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster.
Powered by the new Snapdragon 8295 processor chip – Qualcomm’s flagship for automotive – the infotainment system is fast and reliable. The new generation benefits from shorter response times, smarter voice recognition, and ultra-smooth user interface transitions. Smartphones connect wirelessly via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Over-the-air software updates provide continuous improvements even after delivery – with no need for a workshop visit.
The high-tech character is further emphasised by two 50-watt inductive, ventilated charging trays for smartphones, and an improved nine-inch digital rear-view mirror (standard on G6 RWD Long Range and AWD Performance), which offers an unobstructed view of the traffic behind. Dual-zone climate control and an air purification system with PM2.5-standard fine dust filtering create a pleasant cabin climate.
The standard heat pump, working with the intelligent thermal management system “XPENG Heat Boost”, can heat both the interior and the battery from -20 to +40 degrees Celsius in just over four minutes – reducing energy loss in cold conditions.
As before, XPENG bundles a wide range of assistance systems under the term “XPILOT”, which support the driver in everyday situations – from driving to parking. Alongside a 360-degree camera and an app-controlled parking assistant with remote parking, standard features include an autonomous emergency braking assistant, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, active lane-change assistant, adaptive cornering assistant, and intelligent high beam assistant. Blind spot detection, a collision warning system, and a rear cross-traffic alert are also included, as well as a door opening warning that alerts to traffic participants approaching from behind.
Equipped with a forward-facing binocular camera and a rear-view camera, the XPENG Full-Stack Lofic Architecture improves environmental perception across a variety of driving scenarios and adapts seamlessly to bright and dark conditions. The visual field of perception has been expanded by 125 percent and can accurately detect and distinguish 49 types of obstacles – both dynamic and static.
- Chassis and suspension
The result is a refined driving experience that provides maximum stability and comfort – even on uneven terrain. The “magnetic” braking system ensures smooth and reliable deceleration both in city traffic and on the motorway.
XPENG remains true to itself with the new edition: the XPENG G6 comes with comprehensive standard equipment that covers all needs. In addition to the new “Black Edition”, the short list of options is limited to metallic paint finishes (surcharge 800 CHF) and an electrically swivelling tow bar with integrated caravan mode (1,190 CHF).
The new XPENG G6 is delivered with a vehicle warranty of seven years or 160,000 km, as well as an eight-year warranty on the high-voltage battery (up to 160,000 km).
